Game Summaries & Headlines.
The high school team had an amazing meet this weekend! They competed in the SW Classic which is considered the largest high school meet in the nation. It’s a 2 day meet with 11 prelim sites in SW Ohio. At night the top 16 swimmers from all the prelims travel to St. Xavier to compete at finals.
All 13 of our swimmers set at least one personal best this weekend. We had high places at prelims from Matt Wiles who finished 5th in the 200 free and 6th in the 200 breast, and Anna Collins who placed 4th in the 500 free. Our highest placing relay was our women’s 200 free relay that placed 9th out of 27th teams.
In addition, freshman Emmie Scribben not only won the 500 free and placed second in the 1650 yard swim with a school record time, she also qualified for the extremely competitive finals in both the 100 IM and the 50 back where she placed 12th and 5th place respectively.
Pictured is our girls 200 free relay that finished 9th (Addison Brittingham, Emmie Scribben, Lidia Perez-Domingo, and Anna Collins).
